Roust Group and Rémy Cointreau extend cooperation in Russia

Roust Group, the largest integrated spirits producer and distributor in Central and Eastern Europe and the second-largest vodka producer by volume in the world, and Rémy Cointreau, the world-renowned producer of exceptional spirits, today announced the extension of their partnership in Russia.

According to the new 3-year exclusive distribution agreement, Roust Group will continue the distribution and marketing support in Russian Federation of Rémy Cointreau major brands, including full portfolio of Rémy Martin and Louis XIII cognacs, Cointreau liqueur, Metaxa Greek Spirit, St-Rémy brandy, Progressive Hebridean Distilleries Malts and The Botanist Gin. Roust will also expand the portfolio of Rémy Cointreau with the exclusive launch of Rémy Martin 1738 Accord Royal, Cointreau Blood Orange and Cointreau Noir products in Russia.

The successful cooperation between the two companies in Russia began in 2005 with the distribution of Rémy Martin cognac portfolio in Russia. The distribution agreement was then expanded several times: in April 2009 to include Metaxa, Cointreau and St-Rémy brands, in October 2011 to include Mount Gay Rum, in July 2014 to include Bruichladdich and The Botanist, and a further distribution agreement extension in March 2016.

Rémy Cointreau is also a long-term strategic partner of Roust Group in Poland and Hungary, as well as in duty free, where Rémy Cointreau Global Travel Retail distributes exclusively Russia's #1 premium vodka – Russian Standard.

"We are pleased to renew and reinforce our relationship with Roust Group, which has been a key partner in building our solid market position in Russia. We are convinced this new agreement will enable us to take it to the next level and achieve our goal of becoming the leader in exceptional spirits in the Russian market", comments Valérie Chapoulaud Floquet, CEO of the Rémy Cointreau Group.

'We are proud of our long term successful strategic partnership with Rémy Cointreau in the last 12 years, and we have great expectations for further strong growth of Rémy Cointreau's world known high-end brands in Russia', comments Roustam Tariko, Roust Group's Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors.
